The Island of Slaves, Pierre de Marivo" The island of slaves "of Marivo the lighthearted while dark work of classic French writer, first introduced in 1725 seems more timely than ever, rising from 31 January in the basement of the Art Theatre, translated and directed by new Artistic Director Marianna Calbari.Two aristocrats and their servants, shipwrecks thee island populated by rebellious slaves of Athens. In this strange place, bosses forced nantallaxoun clothes and rolls with their slaves and serve them up to "feel what pain" to get a powerful lesson of justice and humanity. The game of roles between masters and slaves, quickly turns into a dangerous and violent apocalyptic game of power, revenge and love. But what are the limits to such a game? And if one easily learns what it means slavery, how easy it is to learn what freedom means?
